It features contemporary and traditional pipe tunes played on the Highland bagpipes and Scottish small pipes with innovative insturmental accompaniment. I'm joined on the album by an all-star group of backing musicians on guitars, bass, piano, drums, pedal steel guitar, ukulele, and more!

Live with Bob Weir and RatDog
Own a little piece of bagpipe and rock n' roll history. On February 17, 2007 at Seattle's Moore Theater, I took to the stage with legendary ex-Grateful Dead rocker Bob Weir and his band RatDog. I played two sets with the band. The first is called Stuff and is an extended instrumental improvisation-based jam. The second set is the famous song Wharf Rat -- and the world premiere performance of bagpipes with this or any Grateful Dead song. The entire concert recording comes on a 3 CD set. I've created a page with more info, photos, and videos from this historic night!

Check out the concert song list or buy the CD set or download.

Composer
Raven: A Soft Wind Blows. I was pleased to learn that my tune The Hawk made it on to the CD from Raven, one of Portland, Oregon's top Celtic bands. The tune was actually composed by James Hill in the 1890s, but I added the third and fourth parts. The complete tune has never been published, but it is available on my web site on the Downloads page. Learn more about Raven and or buy this recording from their this site.
